The Graduate Route allows international students who complete a UK degree to remain in the country to work or seek work. It is a flexible visa that does not require sponsorship and provides graduates with the chance to build valuable career experience before switching to long-term routes.
Who Can Apply?
- Graduates of UK bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD programs
- Students at licensed UK institutions

Application Process
- Complete your degree
- Submit Graduate Route application online
- Pay £822 fee + £1,035/year IHS
- Provide biometrics (if required)

Validity & Duration
2 years for bachelor’s or master’s graduates; 3 years for PhD graduates. Cannot be extended, but can switch to Skilled Worker or Innovator visas.
